Job Title: Marketing Manager/Public Information Officer
FLSA Status: Non-exempt Status
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Executive Director
Job Summary:
The marketing manager/public information officer will manage a broad range of public affairs functions including public relations, communications, media relations, community relations, and marketing.
Develops and implements programs involving crisis management, website, social media, inbound/outbound marketing and strategic planning. Builds working relationships with business, community organizations, stakeholders, peers, and engage in extensive public contact to market the airport. Manages all marketing efforts to promote the airport and assist with increasing its customer base and revenues.
Essential Functions:

· Manages marketing, advertising, corporate communications, and supervises campaigns.
· Conceives, gains approval of, and supervises the execution of media campaigns.
· Directions of public information and media relations that have an impact on the airport and its mission, operations, and other internal/external publics.
· Disseminates and follow up on news releases and media announcements to promote the airport as an organization.
· Prepares and maintains statistical data and reporting monthly activity of airport operations and passenger statistics.
· Develops marketing initiatives and specific marketing plans.
· Manages the day-to-day operation of the airport’s websites, including all creative, technical, and content-related issues regarding the site.
· Creates and develops informative, user-friendly, customer-focused, and visually compelling content across all distribution channels for internal and external communications.
· Directs and develops written and oral communications representing the airport (media releases, public speaking, etc.)
· Responsible for sales of airport ad spaces including designing content
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or equivalent
· Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in a related area
· Must be able to pass FBI and TSA background checks

· Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
· Familiarity with graphic design & simple video editing (i.e. Photoshop, Canva, Premier Rush)
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
· Comfortable with sales/cold calls
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory roles.
Physical Demands:
While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and converse with employees, maintain a stationary position (standing and sitting), move/traverse, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods. This position must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
