Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of
Lead Instrumentation and Wells Specialist. The Lead Instrumentation and Wells Specialist reports to the Wells Utility Supervisor. The primary function of this position is to provide technical support to the Wells Department and the Instrumentation and Control personnel. This position generates regular reports and assists in the review of construction submittals and onsite inspections of Wells Department construction projects. Some additional duties include but are not limited to creating regular reports based on department activity and chemical usage, reviewing, and closing work orders, inspecting completed field work to ensure completion and accuracy. Review construction submittals to ensure that local, state, and federal standards are met. Create wiring diagrams for controlling various well and booster pump functions and develop and modify PLC computer programs for proper operation function of well sites. The individual filling this role will be required to be available for overtime and to have the ability to respond to after-hours emergency situations.You are someone who effectively exceeds customer needs by building productive relationships and taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty. You actively participate as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals and produce quality outcomes. You are committed to our safety philosophy, and you take great pride in proactively managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently while accomplishing objectives and achieving goals beyond what is required.

- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's Degree (A.S., A.A.) or two-year technical certificate in electricity/electronics ENG, industrial controls theory and application and 4 years of experience in basic to advanced electrical troubleshooting and repair
- 6 Years of experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting
- 6 years of experience in VFD installation, troubleshooting and repair
- Grade II Water Distribution and Grade II Water Treatment ADEQ Certifications required at the time of hire or promotion.
6 Years of experience in basic to advanced electrical troubleshooting and repair may be considered in lieu of an Associate's Degree.First Review of applications will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, then every every other Thursday through the posting close date, with a final review after the posting closes.This position is an At-Will position, FLSA Non-Exempt - eligible for overtime compensation.Gilbert is on a mission to be the City of the Future.
