Performs intermediate skilled administrative support services for the City Attorney; answers the office phone and assists visitors; prepares and maintains detailed and/or confidential records; prepares varies types of legal documents, memos, dictation and other correspondence; and other work as apparent or assigned

- Creating files, filing, faxing, scanning, calendar management, and other duties as assigned.
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of filing / records management system, receiving, screening and processing telephone calls, making copies, sending faxes, processing mail, calendar management, tracking deadlines, and other routine administrative functions.
- Provides day to day operational support. Purchase office supplies, serve as FOIA officer, and prepare legal documents, dictation.
- Operates personal computer and utilizes software packages to collect and review data, prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, maintain databases, etc.
Minimum Education and Experience:- Associate's degree in related field and considerable administrative legal experience (at least three years) or paralegal studies certificate or equivalent combination in education and experience.
Licenses and/or Certifications:Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- General knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and secretarial techniques.
- General knowledge of the organization and functions of the department and of general administrative policies and practices.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft software applications and general office equipment.
- Strong typing and data-entry skills, and command of English language and grammar.
- Customer service, interpersonal skills, organization, time-management skills, and basic math skills.
- Ability to keep office records and to prepare accurate reports from file sources.
- Ability to perform and organize work independently.
- Ability to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and to perform routine office support details without referral to supervisor.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public.
Work Environment:- Work is primarily performed in an indoor, climate-controlled, pleasant environment.
