Hello! We’re the Montana Department of Justice Information Technology Services (JITS) team and we are seeking a skilled Procurement Operations and Project Supervisor who’s ready to dive in and help us take our projects and procurements to the next level.

You’ll be overseeing multiple PMs and the procurement team to assist and guide them in their projects and processes.
Their roles bridge the gap between our teams and the divisions within the agency.
This role is perfect for someone who loves rolling up their sleeves and getting things done, while also keeping an eye on the big picture.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management or related field.
- Five years of experience managing projects.
- Two years of related management experience.
- Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted.
What We’re Looking For:
- You’ll be supervising project managers who are mainly over IT projects currently, so a strong foundational knowledge of application development, IT infrastructure, and project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Lean) is helpful.
- The procurement team manages the workflow for all DOJ procurements, knowledge in this area is beneficial to this role.
- At least 4 years of project management experience (an emphasis in IT is preferred), including 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Professional certifications like PMP are a big plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, or related field.

What You’ll Do:
- Keep the team motivated and in sync by maintaining collaboration, transparency, coordinating and allocating resources for projects and applications.
- Always be on the lookout for ways to make our processes better and faster.
- Keep track of DOJ’s Project & System Support Portfolio and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Help shape and implement our project portfolio strategy.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in project management and procurement
