The Wildland Fire Module Crewmember is a seasonal position responsible for the implementation all aspects of operations for the Module. The Module Crewmember reports directly to the Module Senior Firefighter, Module Squad Boss and Module Assistant on day-to-day operations and is ultimately supervised by the Module Lead. The 2025 season will run from April 28th through October 31st.
Under the direction of the Squad Boss, the Module Senior Firefighter will:
- Implement day-to-day operations as directed by Module Lead.
- Provide high level of performance during implementation of operations.
- Ensure safe operations in the workplace and on assignment.
- Participate in daily briefings and in wildfire suppression and management operations.
- Maintain compliance of all Wildland Fire Division SOPs.
- Ensure assigned Module Management Programs and collateral duties are being implemented as issued by the Module Squad Boss and Assistant.
- Participate in fireline operations.
- Maintain high level of conduct and compliance with Core Values at all time.
- Participate in training both classroom and OJT.
- Participate in arduous physical training and maintain constant state of readiness.
- Reinforce the Chain of Command at all times.
The Wildfire Suppression Module Crewmember is a primary Wildland Fire Position, and will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times under the direction of the Module Senior Firefighter, Squad Boss, Assistant and Lead.
