Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Paralegal (District-Wide) at the Federal Public Defender's office in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Paralegal will be responsible for tasks such as legal document preparation, communication, research, and document review to support attorneys in client defense.
- The Paralegal will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive legal and administrative assistance at all stages of federal criminal proceedings. The paralegal must possess exceptional technological skills. The paralegal is responsible for organizing and analyzing discovery, maintaining well organized and searchable electronic case files, reviewing documents, and compiling and providing evidence summaries to attorneys and case teams, coding facts, and creating case databases, and providing litigation support at evidentiary and motion hearings, trials, and appeals. The paralegal will provide additional general support to case teams, including coordinating and providing information to experts.
