Customer Service Representative to work in the Parks and Recreation department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in providing excellent customer service and administrative support to the department, general public and staff.

In office Monday – Friday. Weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
Expected Hiring Range: $16.70 - $20.46 per hour
Salary Range:$16.70 - $22.63 per hour
- Placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget
- Provides excellent customer service, communicating effectively and courteously with the public and internal customers
- Coordinates permitting process for general public, applicants at front counter; processes applications and responds to inquiries
- Assists customers with payments; resolves issues and inquiries via phone, in –person, and email; maintains accounts, fees, and charges
- Manages and balances cash drawers to include cash handling, maintains security cash box
- Provides administrative support to Parks and Recreation staff including: assisting with recreation activities and events, updating calendars, ordering office supplies, filing, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
- Using applicable software, makes reservations, sells memberships, manages activities and rosters
- Assists with opening and closing procedures
- High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training
- Over one year experience performing customer service and clerical duties within an office environment and/or over one year experience cashiering
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:- Ability to pass the Town of Marana background check
- Must pass fingerprint clearance background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word
- Experience with Payment and/or Accounting Software Programs
