Home to the University of Wyoming, Laramie sits at 7,165 feet elevation along Interstate 80, about 50 miles west of Cheyenne. The city offers a strong sense of community pride with a full calendar of cultural events, historic downtown on the National Register, and easy access to the Snowy Range Mountains, Vedauwoo rock formations, and Medicine Bow National Forest for hiking, fishing, skiing, and mountain biking.

The City of Laramie operates under a council-manager form of government with a nine-member City Council and approximately 290 employees. The Human Resources Department partners with the City Manager and all departments to ensure HR programs and services are administered consistently, efficiently, and equitably. • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, organizational management, or a closely related field

• Seven years of progressively responsible professional HR experience across multiple disciplines, including employee relations, recruitment, policy administration, benefits, compensation/classification, or HR operations

• Experience providing work direction, project leadership, or staff supervision
