About Us:
The City of Oak Creek is dedicated to providing excellent services to our residents, visitors, and business community. Our Marketing and Public Relations team is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and detail-oriented intern to join us in making an impact through exciting marketing and events.

Your Role:
As a Marketing and Events Intern, you'll get hands-on experience in multimedia marketing and event planning within a local government setting. You’ll be involved in creating engaging content, assisting with event logistics, and helping with everything from Farmers Market operations to social media strategies. It's a great opportunity to grow your skills, collaborate with a fun team, and make a real difference in the community!What You’ll Be Doing:

Create engaging content for the City’s website and social media channels.
Help develop social media reports and track analytics.
Assist with the planning and promotion of local events like the Farmers Market.
Collaborate with team members and volunteers to ensure successful event execution.
Help manage the Food Share program at the Farmers Market.
Proofread and edit marketing materials.
Dive into various marketing and communication tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

You’re a full-time student studying marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, media studies, or a related field.
You have a good understanding of social media and digital marketing.
You’re comfortable with tech tools like Microsoft Office and Canva (bonus points for experience with digital cameras and photo editing!).
You’re detail-oriented, organized, and can juggle multiple tasks with a smile!
A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and with a team are key.
Previous experience with customer service or cash handling is a plus.
