Annual Salary:

Level II D33B$80,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits

Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.

Basic Purpose:

Under administrative direction of Finance management; plans, organizes, coordinates, directs, and supervises all phases of the agency’s fiscal operations within the Finance Division of the Department of Human Services. Positions assigned to the classification are located in the Finance Division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services.

Job Responsibilities:

Developing and managing personnel and operating budget - manages assigned division budget, coordinates with division on personnel and operating budget activities, develop and prepare annual budget work program
Reviewing budget funding requests for merit and authenticity - reviews budget funding request, validates grants awarded and funding sources, and approves budget
Reviewing and approving expenditures and obligations - reviews and approve purchase requisitions and eligible expenditures
Preparing budget analysis reports and budget estimate - reviews budget to actual expenditure report and variance analysis
Establishing proper budget controls and business processes to be in compliance - establish and implement budget control in accordance to budget policies and state statute as well as Federal regulatory
Preference may be given to applicants with experience in PeopleSoft

Minimum Qualifications

Level II:

Education and Experience required at this level consist of a bachelors degree in accounting, business, public administration or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in professional accounting, auditing or closely related work, including two (2) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity
ORan equivalent combination of education and experience
