This individual will market and facilitate community events for the City of Holland and Holland Recreation. The intern receives supervision and assignments from the Recreation Program Coordinator; however, the intern is encouraged to develop innovative ideas to promote and grow the Recreation Department.

Start: Spring/Summer

End Date: Summer/Fall

Schedule: Afternoons & Evenings

Pay Rate: $15 an hour
Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and implement marketing campaigns for various events and programs.
Provide on-site content at programs and events for social media accounts.
Attending community events for on-site marketing activations.
Coordinate and run on-site supervision for the Friday Night Summer Concert Series.
Recruit sponsorships for the organization through a variety of methods.
Maintain a positive working relationship with other employees and the public.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from an accredited college/university required, Recreation, sport management, or related field preferred.
Some marketing and graphic design experience preferred.
One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Working Conditions:

Working outside with periodic exposure to extreme hot or cold weather conditions.
Exposure to dust, dirt, rain, noise, and chemicals.
