The Village of Palos Park is seeking a motivated, energetic, personable professional for the role of Administrative Assistant within the Department of Recreation and Parks. Palos Park is a small but progressive, employee-friendly organization that prides itself on providing superior recreational and leisure opportunities to enrich the quality of life for its residents and develop a united sense of community. This position is part-time (14-21 hours a week) with a pay range of $16-18/hour based on experience.

Responsibilities

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be helping the public in registering for programs and rentals along with answering questions related to Recreation and Parks Department events, programs, and offerings. Administrative Assistants also help run registration report, e and paper filing of various documents, prepare payment authorizations and reports with invoices, and help with department marketing efforts.

Qualifications

High School graduate or GED plus six months of experience in a clerical field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to multi-task. Experience using Microsoft Software (Word, Publisher, and Excel). Experience working with ACTIVE Net registration system or similar recreation registration system a plus.
