Stevenson’s City Administrator reports to the mayor and manages the organization’s daily operations, resident engagement, and financial sustainability. This includes advising the community’s elected and appointed leaders, negotiating contracts, developing programs directed by the City Council, and helping craft and interpret city rules, policies, and procedures, as well as county, state, and federal regulations and best practices.

The ideal candidate will lead with integrity, vision, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships within the community. A deep understanding of budgeting and financial management is essential, as are strong organizational and time management skills. The successful candidate will prioritize projects effectively, balancing competing demands and deadlines while maintaining a forward-thinking, solution-oriented approach that treats everyone with respect and ensures that the needs of all constituents — not just the loudest voices — are addressed equitably.

Candidates should be college graduates with previous government experience; a master’s degree is preferred. Accounting, management, analytical, and communications skills are essential, and grant writing experience is a plus. Please note that the selected candidate will be required to complete their first aid and CPR certification within 18 months of hire if they are not already certified.

Stevenson is offering a salary range of $113,522-$149,388 for this role, depending on experience and qualifications, and a comprehensive benefits package.
