GENERAL DESCRIPTION
- The Informatics Specialist role is responsible for providing in-depth knowledge and support of clinical workflows in the Epic EHR (Electronic Health Record) platform. Will partner closely with clinical and administrative leaders as well as staff to effectively communicate and collaborate to establish support, goals, and implementation plans. This individual must be able to communicate and supply assistance to all clinical and non-clinical personnel as it relates to system functionality and workflows.
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- - BSN Required
  - Master’s degree in nursing informatics preferred
  - Epic credentialed is a plus but are willing to train the right candidate. Epic Clinical Informaticist Certification is required with the first year of employment.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
1-3 years nursing informatics preferred
1-3 years training experience
3-5 years’ experience in hospital-based nursing practice required
Experience with the implementation and support of clinical IT projects preferred.
Background and experience with Epic applications with both strong interest and aptitude for technology is preferred
Microsoft Suite of applications knowledge required
