Position Summary

Performs daily Airport safety and security inspections and general field

maintenance activities to support the safe and efficient operation of

the Prescott Regional Airport.

Essential Duties

Performs dailyAirport safety and security inspections ofAirport

facilities,perimeter,grounds, and properties to ensure regulatory

compliance with FAR Part 139, Airport Certification Manual, FAR Part

77, TSR 1542, Airport Security Program, and other federal, state,

and local regulations or policies; issues notices to airmen

(NOTAMs), maintains logs; and records in accordance with regulatory

requirements; writes incident/accident reports; and interacts with

tenants and customers.

Performs daily,nightlyand specialAirportself-inspectionsin

accordance withFederal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations and

the Airport Certification Manual (ACM).

Inspectsairfieldsurfaces, lighting, signage, and navigational aidsin

accordance withFAA Regulations.

Performs general field maintenance to include mowing, weed removal,

and sweeping in addition to general custodial services; issueswork

orders for non-conforming conditions.

Monitors on-airport construction projects for safety and conformance

with approved construction safety and phasing plans.

Responds to allaircraftincidents and accidents on the airfieldin

accordance withthe Airport Emergency Plan and to

surroundingjurisdictionsas requested and implements

theAirportEmergencyPlan.

Maintainsa safe operating environment for emergency personnel

through coordination with Air Traffic Control.

Initiates FAA, NTSB, or other agency investigations as directed

byDepartment notification procedures.

Handlesgeneral Airport Securityin accordance withthe Airport

Security Plan (ASP);performsAirport security checksin accordance

withTransportation Security Administration (TSA) regulations.

Responds toAirport security incidents such as perimeter security

breaches, unattended bags, etc.in accordance withthe Airport

Security Plan.

Responds and monitors alerts.
Performs snow and ice removal operations to the runways,

taxiways,aircraftparking ramps,Airport public roads, sidewalks,and

parking areasin accordance withthe Airport Snow and Ice Control

Plan.

Issues/cancelsNotice to Airmen (NOTAMs) along with other airfield

safety and operational notification requirements.

Issues Field Condition Reports (FICON).
Logs, tracks, and respondsto wildlife sightings and reports

received;preparesregular reports and documentation of wildlife

incidents;andregularly inspectsAirport perimeter toidentifywildlife

habitat locations, access points, food sources, etc. and

takesappropriate correctiveaction.

Operates heavy machinery;mowswith tractor flail mower;operatesstreet

sweeper; andmaintainsperimeter roads with dump truck and back hoes.

Conductsregular inspections and monitoring of, but not limited to,

aviation fuel service operationsandstorm water pollution prevention

plan (SWPPP).

Conductsairfield driver\'s training.
Performsadministrative work; reviews, responds, and generates

emails; generates reports; and handles otherAirport documentation.

Performsother duties as assigned.
