- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Public Administration Financial Management or related field requiredand
- Extensive experience with a minimum of ten years of Public Utility management or related field requiredand
- Managerial experience required
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a leadership position required
- Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and acceptable driving record required
Who You Are:- Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, train, direct, and motivate employees
- Must have extensive knowledge of local, regional and national utility and business-related practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of water and wastewater operations including design, construction, collection, distribution, metering, billing and financing.
- High level of organizational skills and understanding of project management
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact tactfully under stressful situations
Key Job Duties:- Lead, direct, and manage the Water Utilities Department
- Develop and implement department goals, objectives, policies, and priorities
- Plan, direct and coordinate the department’s work plan, assigning projects and programs, reviewing and evaluating work methods and procedures, identifying and resolving problems
- Represent the department to elected officials, internal and external stakeholders, and the general public.
- Serve as staff liaison to various City Council Committees, Boards, and Commissions
