The purpose of the class is to maintain library collection and harmonious relationships with the public. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Specialized courses/training equivalent to the completion of one (1) year of college in library science, literature, or a closely related field preferred.
- Direct customer service experience preferred.
- Must successfully pass a background check prior to any offer of employment or promotion.
Additional Requirements
- May require working beyond a standard 40-hour work week to include evenings and weekends.
- The incumbent may be considered "essential personnel" during City emergency situations or at the direction of the City Manager which may include long hours and unusual schedules.
