Now Hiring an Administrative Assistant to provide office administration and clerical support for the Logan-Union-Champagne County Regional Planning Commission (LUCRPC). Under the general direction of the LUC Director, the Administrative Assistant will provide reception duties and perform a variety of administrative support tasks (e.g. general clerical work, special projects, answers phone, greets visitors, opens and delivers mail), in support of office personnel, and assist in the operation of the Regional Planning Commission.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability under Union County's vehicle insurance policy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101:
(1) Assists the Director and Operations Manager with general clerical duties and provides day-to-day administrative support to the office. Completes special projects as assigned.
(2) Provides reception duties (receives and screens telephone calls and visitors; records messages, greets visitors, answers phones, aids callers, and tracks calls using a daily call log).
(3) Prepares mailing of information to the members of the Planning Commission, various organizations, and the public. Maintains and distributes brochures and other marketing materials.
(4) Prepares and disseminates invoices, memorandums, and correspondence as directed.
(5) Coordinate the regular and special meetings of the Regional Planning Commission, Executive Committee, Zoning & Subdivision Committee, and all other LUC committees. This includes the Annual Meeting and December Luncheon. Prepares documents including agendas, minutes, etc.
(6) Provides advanced clerical and administrative support to the staff, as approved by the Director.
(7) Maintains required licensures and certifications, if any.
(8) Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
(9) Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(10) The Director may assign other duties as the need arises.
Knowledge of: LUC RPC goals and objectives; Fair Housing Program procedures. County, Department, and Division policies and procedures; personnel rules and regulations; government structure and process; public relations; project management.
