Position Overview:
As a Buyer in our aerospace and defense division, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing and procuring high-quality materials, components, and services necessary for our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Purchasing & Procurement: Manage procurement of materials, components, and services, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Cost Optimization: Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Inventory Control: Collaborate with production and logistics teams to monitor inventory levels and plan material needs, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all purchases adhere to defense industry regulations and company standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation of procurement activities.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, new technologies, and changes in regulations to ensure competitiveness in sourcing decisions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Buyer in the aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and regulatory requirements within the aerospace and defense sectors.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
