The City of Green Bay is seeking a Public Works Director to oversee and innovate our city's infrastructure, from streets and sewers, bridges and public buildings. What You’ll Do:
• Direct and manage all divisions of Public Works, including Engineering, Traffic, Administration, Operations, and more.
• Collaborate with city leadership and community stakeholders to ensure top-tier public services.
• Spearhead major projects, from street maintenance to storm sewer construction and ensuring the delivery of essential services that enhance the quality of life for our residents. What You’ll Bring:
• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or commensurate experience and eight years of progressive municipal engineering experience.
• Proven leadership as a chief administrator or principal assistant in a similar-sized public works department.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain within a year.
• A track record of successful project management and effective communication with diverse teams and communities. Why Green Bay?
