The Town of Acton is seeking applicants for the full-time position of the Economic Development Director. This position will be based in the Town Managers Office and report to the Town Manager.
General Duties and Responsibilities: This position will serve as the primary contact for businesses within the community and assists with inter-governmental collaborations and citizen engagement programs and initiatives. This person will lead short-term and long-term economic development strategies and implementation and special projects. This position will write and administer grants and assist with budget requests. This position will provide the administrative support for the Economic Development Committee. This person will periodically update community profiles and real estate inventory and research and develop economic trends. This person will supervise and coordinate the work of consultants in support of the Economic Development projects. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Town Manager.
Minimum Entrance Requirements: Two (2) years of work experience in a municipal or business environment; Bachelors degree in public administration, business management, or a related field; or any combination of experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters in public administration, business management, or a related field.
Pay Rate: Starting at $100k+ a year depending on qualifications and experience.
