The City of Andover (pop. 30,481) has an immediate employment opportunity for a Full-time Building Inspector (M-F 8:00 am - 4:30 pm). This position performs comprehensive building, housing and fire inspections on residential, commercial, and industrial properties to ensure compliance with existing City and State codes and policies governing new construction and existing structures.
Minimum Requirements:
1.Graduation from a standard senior high school or GED equivalent, supplemented by two (2) years of post-secondary college or technical instruction in building technology, construction management, mechanical, electrical, plumbing or building construction, and
2.Four (4) years of experience in general construction and related fields, or
3.Any equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis.
