The City of Milpitas is seeking an Interim City Manager to provide leadership and oversight for all municipal operations during this important transition period. This is an opportunity for a highly skilled municipal leader to provide stability, guide strategic initiatives, and leave a lasting impact on the City of Milpitas. Serving for several months, or until a permanent City Manager is appointed, the Interim City Manager will be instrumental in ensuring stability, maintaining momentum on key initiatives, and guiding the City through this year’s budget cycle.

The Interim City Manager will oversee the effective functioning of the City Manager's office, its 14 departments and their approximate 500 employees, and the management of FY 2024/2025 approximate budget of $250 million. They will be responsible for safeguarding financial integrity, optimizing City functions, and effectively allocating resources. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in municipal finance, legal matters, planning, and economic development, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment with City staff, constituents, and elected officials.
