Under general supervision; greets persons visiting facilities, provides information about the various programs, events and memberships for the City, performs monetary transactions using computer systems. Greets persons visiting facility. Provides visitors and members information about the facility and programs in person and by phone. Gives tours of the facility.
Registers members for programs, takes payments, and reconciles daily receipts. Enters information into computer systems.
Monitor and enforce guidelines, policy, and procedures.
Watches for hazardous conditions and ensures that maintenance or housekeeping problems are addressed. Responds to emergency situations on site by calling 911 and completing accident and/or incident reports.
Responsible for opening and closing of building each day. Ensures staff is present in all areas.
Education and Experience
High School Education or equivalent; and/or any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
Licenses and Certifications:
Necessary- Valid Driver’s License
Desirable- Parks & Recreation CertificationIMPORTANT JOB FUNCTIONS:
Updates facility bulletin board and ensures marketing materials are current and supplied throughout facilities.
Collects and balances daily receipts. Reconciles money for deposit.
Enters data and makes corrections into computer programs.
Maintains order in common areas.
Assists with clerical duties, such as refunds and calling members on waiting lists, as needed.
Trains other personnel in front desk procedures.
Assists with special events.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
