The Waukesha County Office of Corporation Counsel is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic summer legal intern to join our team for the 2025 academic summer break. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain practical legal experience in a government setting. The intern will work closely with experienced attorneys on various legal matters, gaining exposure to diverse areas of the law. The ideal start date would be on or around May 19, 2025.
Applicants must have completed a Legal Research and Writing course in law school. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in municipal law and litigation. The position requires a commitment of 25-30 hours per week, with potential for additional hours.

1. Conduct legal research and analysis on a variety of legal issues.
2. Draft legal memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.
3. Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
4. Perform other duties as assigned by supervising attorneys.
