Summary: With direction from the Events Manager, the Zoo Special Events
Assistant will coordinate, develop and implement special events to
increase revenue and attendance. This role will also manage event
logistics, including entertainment, programming, and volunteer duties.
Ensure successful, organized, and well-designed public events. Essential
Responsibilities: Coordinate all aspects of events from concept to
completion. Assist in executing more than 20 annual events to generate
attendance and revenue. Develop new events, activities, and programming.
Create contingency plans for adverse weather conditions. Effectively
communicate event operations and logistics with Zoo divisions.
Coordinate volunteer job responsibilities and duties. Coordinate online
event registration through the point-of-sale system with the
