Job Summary:
Responsible to the Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent for duties that pertain to the Scott Schreiner Golf Course. Assists with customer service, public relations, safety, and implements maintenance duties to ensure high-quality course conditions. Supervises Equipment Operator and Maintenance Worker staff and volunteers.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervises work crews.
2. Mows, trims, landscapes, and performs general building maintenance (plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
3. Oversees custodial operations.
4. Maintains irrigation systems and equipment.
5. Assists superintendent with preventative maintenance and safety programs.
6. Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Abilities:
· Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one year of general maintenance experience and one year of supervisory experience is required.
· Possession of a valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.
· Possession of a current TDA Pesticide license a plus.
· Knowledge of high-level turf management, landscaping, building, and equipment maintenance.
· Tractors, loaders, chippers, chainsaws, mowers, computers, and related tools.
· Ability to provide quality customer service and perform work without supervision.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Ability to conduct work activities in accordance with the safety program, work rules, and safety standards.
· Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
· Must be insurable and able to operate City vehicles.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
Duties are generally performed citywide in both outdoor and indoor settings. This is medium to heavy work requiring the exertion of fifty (50) pounds of force occasionally, up to twenty (20) pounds of force frequently, and up to ten (10) pounds of force constantly to move, lift and push objects. Work requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, pushing and pulling. This position is subject to outside environmental conditions, including extreme cold, extreme heat, hazards, and atmospheric conditions.
Special Requirements:
· Ability to work an irregular work schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Ability to serve on a rotation duty schedule for weekend duty and night call-outs.
· Subject to 24-hour call during emergencies.
· May be required to assist with special events with other departments.
