This position is responsible for the supervision and instruction of participants at Jaycee Park Center for Arts & Crafts. Classes are scheduled according to instructor availability and participant demand. Class times must fall within hours of operation.
The Center for Arts & Crafts is open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 am - 8:30 pm,
Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Saturday from 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Pay Rate: $18.00, depending on qualifications
Terms: As needed for programs that range from 4-8 weeks
Hours: 2 to 10 hours per week
Minimum Age: 18 years old, by January 1, 2026

- Supervise and instruct introductory-level to advanced students from age 3 to adults;
- Plan, organize, develop, implement, and evaluate specialized art courses; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A strong background in one or more visual art fields and knowledge of drawing and painting is required. Preferred areas include ceramics, sculpture, weaving, fiber arts, and a wide range of crafts.
- Four year degree in Studio Art or Fine Arts or comparable experience in art or art education is preferred.
- Prior teaching experience, First Aid, and CPR certified is preferred.
- Applicants should have examples of personal artwork available for review.
