Under the supervision of the Park Director and Assistant Park Director, the Marketing & Events Assistant supports Mozingo Lake Recreation Park’s marketing, communications, and guest engagement efforts. This position assists with social media content, graphic creation, public communication, and the planning and coordination of park events and activities.
The position requires knowledge of social media platforms, computer applications, and effective public interaction, including situations requiring tact and professionalism. Additional duties include welcoming visitors, answering and routing phone calls, coordinating with third-party vendors, maintaining records, and preparing written correspondence.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and enthusiastic about engaging the community and enhancing the guest experience.
Assist with creating and scheduling content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, etc.)
Design basic marketing materials and graphics for events, programs, and promotions
Help communicate park information to the public through social media, website updates, flyers, and other outreach methods
Assist with planning, promoting, and coordinating park events, activities, and special programs
Support on-site event setup, guest interaction, and breakdown as needed
Capture photos and videos during events and daily park activities for marketing use
Respond to basic public inquiries online or assist staff with public communication efforts
Collaborate with park staff to brainstorm creative marketing ideas and community engagement strategies
Perform other related duties as assigned
- Currently enrolled in higher education institution, pursuing related field.
- High School diploma required
- Valid Missouri Drivers required
