
The mission of the District Attorney’s Office is to keep the community safe and to make the criminal justice system better through the fair and ethical prosecution of criminal offenders, while seeking justice for victims of crime. In support of our mission, the District Attorney’s Office seeks a founding Executive Director to support the opening, operation, growth and development of a new Family Justice Center for the communities of the 17th Judicial District of Colorado.

The Administrative Assistant for the Diversion Program Office provides administrative and clerical support to the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Diversion program. Responsible for processing cases, documents, and data through case management systems and associated tracking tools, as well as the professional and courteous operation of the front office.
- Meets and greets all customers, including clients, families, service providers, and visitors upon their arrival
- Makes outgoing telephone calls in support of program business such as scheduling intakes, calling victims, etc.
- Manages scheduling intakes for walk in court hours Receives incoming telephone calls, solving issues or transferring them to intended recipients
- Performs basic office duties, such as copying, filing, scanning, keyboarding, and sorting mai
- Receives, records, and processes program fees and restitution payments
- Prepares invoices for payment
- Records approvals for all payment requests for client services
- Records invoices for data and financial tracking systems Sends initial restitution correspondence to victims
- Prepares, composes, reviews, and assembles court and program documents and correspondence.
- Facilitates transfer of cases to and from the main office, intake staff, and client managers.
- Inputs data accurately and consistently to pull reports
- Purges and destroys electronic completed case files according to a previously determined schedule.
- Orders and stocks office supplies
- Maintains orderly appearance of lobby, workroom, shared common areas, and personal workstation areas
- Works in collaboration with Admin team to have consistency for client managers and leadership team
- Coordinating conferences, trainings, and team meetings for staff
- Contributes to positive work culture
- Enters and updates client information in CDAC Module
- Documents financial information in Diversion Module

- Working knowledge of the ACTION database administered by the Colorado District Attorney's Council, or comparable experience with another legal system database.

- Awareness of routine office practices and procedures sufficient to be able to organize and maintain files, records, and schedules, and process case

- Ability to arrange schedules for staff members in order serve clients in an efficient manner
- Knowledge of financial and data reporting
- Ability to learn the functions, structure, and organizational policies of the county and the District Attorney’s Office and the Diversion Program.
- Knowledge of the organization and operation of the county and of outside agencies, as necessary, to assume assigned responsibilities.

- High school graduation/equivalent plus five years of full time legal assistant experience in a legal office, or
- Associate degree in a relevant field, plus three years of full time legal assistant experience, or
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, plus one year of full time legal assistant experience.
- Primarily sedentary physical work requiring ability to lift a maximum of 40 pounds; occasional lifting, carrying, walking, and standing; frequent hand/eye coordination to operate computer keyboard and office equipment; vision for reading, recording, and interpreting information; speech communication and hearing to maintain communication with employees and members of the public.
- Must type 50 w.p.m. with accuracy.
The ability to speak, read and write Spanish with proficiency is highly preferred.
