US Federal Solutions is seeking a highly capable
Congressional Liaison to support the
United States Space Force in a high-visibility role at the intersection of senior leadership, legislative affairs, and mission execution. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who understands the federal legislative environment, can confidently advise senior leaders, and has the program management experience to drive timely, accurate, and strategic congressional support activities.
The selected candidate will serve as a key advisor and action officer supporting congressional relations, legislative analysis, leadership preparation, and workflow management related to congressional engagements and reporting. This role requires exceptional judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-stakes national security environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise senior leaders on congressional interests, sensitivities, and the potential impact of legislation on organizational programs, operations, budget, and authorities.
- Coordinate and prepare read-aheads, talking points, briefing papers, background materials, and other executive-level products to support congressional engagements.
- Prepare senior leaders for meetings, hearings, briefings, and other interactions with congressional stakeholders.
- Draft, coordinate, and staff responses to congressional inquiries, requests for information, follow-up correspondence, and formal reporting requirements.
- Track, analyze, and summarize legislation, committee activity, and floor action affecting organizational priorities and mission objectives.
- Conduct legislative analysis of the annual National Defense Authorization Act and Defense Appropriations bills and assess implications for leadership.
- Brief leadership on congressional dynamics, risks, opportunities, and recommended engagement strategies.
- Coordinate closely with senior stakeholders and partner offices on congressional engagements, communications, and follow-on actions.
- Represent the organization in recurring legislative affairs meetings and coordination forums.
- Support annual Posture Season activities, including hearing preparation, late-night prep sessions, and responses to congressional RFIs.
- Manage congressional workflows, taskers, reporting requirements, and correspondence using established tracking and task management systems

Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience serving as a Program Manager
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in support management
- Demonstrated experience supporting congressional relations, legislative affairs, executive communications, or senior-level government operations
- Strong working knowledge of the federal legislative process, including congressional correspondence, reporting requirements, and defense authorization and appropriations activity
- Experience developing executive briefing materials, talking points, decision support products, and formal written responses for senior leaders
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate across organizations, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience supporting Department of Defense, Headquarters-level, or other federal executive environments preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting the U.S. Space Force, Department of the Air Force, or other DoD legislative affairs functions
- Familiarity with congressional task management tools and workflow systems
- Experience supporting posture hearings, questions for the record, and congressional reporting cycles
- Ability to translate complex legislative developments into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership
