
The permanent part time Community Relations Analyst position reports to the Resource Development Manager and will assist the Volunteer Services Coordinators with the management of volunteers, coordination of volunteer opportunities and the development of community partnerships. This position promotes volunteer opportunities and recruits' volunteers to make an impact in City of Raleigh Parks, greenways, programs, facilities, and special events. This position will also work alongside volunteers to complete park maintenance projects as well as special events. the Community Relations Analyst has the unique opportunity to work in any of our 220 parks or 120 miles of greenway depending on volunteer projects.

Work Hours:This is a permanent part time position expected to work 25 hours a week. The specific weekday schedule is to be determined but will have frequent Saturday morning work and occasional evening hours.

- Conduct on-site volunteer training and supervise volunteers participating in volunteer opportunities
- Assist with the management of volunteer databases and paperwork
- Prepare online volunteer event postings in the online volunteer registration system (CERVIS)
- Assist with requests from individuals and groups to coordinate volunteer opportunities
- Promote and market the Volunteer Services Program with online marketing tools
- Assist with developing partnerships through community outreach efforts
- Contribute to special projects as assigned
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency; 1 year of experience in recreation, childcare sports, or related fieldORAny equivalent combination of training and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be substitutedLicensing and Certifications:- Valid North Carolina Class C Driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree or degree seeking in recreation, communications, marketing or a related environmental field
- 1 year of experience in marketing, community relations, parks and recreation or a related field
- Experience with CERVIS, ArcGIS, Access and GovDelivery
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:- Experience managing and supervising volunteers
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills
- Proven success in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with database management and reporting
- Demonstrated capability in maintaining positive working relationships with diverse individuals and groups

- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Forms
