Join our team as a Tax Auditor II, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring tax compliance. In this dynamic position, you will perform comprehensive audits, issue tax assessments, and collect unpaid taxes, all while providing invaluable education to taxpayers about their obligations and best practices for compliance. You will have the opportunity to work independently, utilizing your expertise to navigate complex tax situations and contribute to improved financial integrity.

Performs professional Sales and Use Tax Compliance Audits, issues tax assessments, and collects unpaid taxes. Educates taxpayers on tax obligations and methodologies for improved compliance. This classification is distinguished from Tax Auditor I by the ability to perform the full range of duties with limited instruction or assistance.

Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.

The hiring range is $82,139.94 - $91,266.60 / annually.

Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field and at least two years of professional auditing experience are required. Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License. An equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

Process Overview:
