Job Summary
Are you passionate about creating meaningful experiences for youth and families? Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, this dynamic role leads the planning, coordination, and delivery of a wide variety of recreation programs, with a strong focus on youth and family programming and summer day camps. From arts and education to athletics, health and wellness, and outdoor adventures, you’ll help bring engaging, high-quality programs to life for the community.
As an on-site coordinator, you’ll play a hands-on role in daily operations—overseeing program logistics, managing registrations and attendance, coordinating facilities, and supporting budgets. You’ll also lead and support seasonal camp staff, helping to create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment where participants can thrive.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys both big-picture planning and day-to-day interaction with the community. You’ll evaluate and enhance programs, build relationships with instructors and partners, manage contracts and records, and support marketing and outreach efforts to keep programs vibrant and well-attended.

Starting Salary Range: The starting salary is between the minimum and midpoint of the range ($53,040 annually - $64,979 annually).
Candidates will start at the minimum of the range unless their skills, experience, education or other factors exceed the qualifications for the position.

Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. A typical way to qualify is a Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience in general recreation Or; Associate’s degree in Parks and Recreation or a related field of study and three (3) years of experience in general recreation programming.
