Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Queens, NY for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The CISO will oversee all aspects of the organization's information security strategy and operations, including implementing robust cybersecurity measures, managing information security programs, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Daily responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, managing incident responses, strengthening business continuity plans, and collaborating with internal teams to secure data, applications, and systems effectively.
Qualifications
- Experience in Information Security, including management of policies, compliance programs, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in Cybersecurity and Application Security to protect systems and data against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Knowledge of Business Continuity planning to ensure operational resilience during emergencies or disruptive events.
- Expertise in Information Security Management with the ability to lead security initiatives across multiple departments.
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse security frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred).
- Experience in public or healthcare sector data environments is a plus.
