**SUMMARY**
The Seasonal Parks Technician at Santa Fe Lake covers a variety of roles
from customer service to maintenance. Multiple positions are available
to support the extended operating hours of the lake including evenings
and weekends from April through October.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES (Outside Work)**
- The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the

- Performs landscaping duties including mowing, weed-eating, trimming
trees and shrubs, pulling weeds, edging lawns, raking, watering
plants and trees, sweeping and clearing fallen tree
- Handles maintenance of existing and construction of new park
equipment (benches, tables, signs, etc.)
- Repairs and maintains equipment (mowers, playground, picnic tables,
etc.)
- Make daily rounds of the grounds; cleans restrooms
- Operate a variety of landscaping equipment including mowers,
edger\'s weed eaters
- Operate some heavy equipment including trucks and tractors
- Picks up litter and debris from grounds and parking lots; empty
trash containers
- Performs general maintenance on equipment including: refueling;
changing oil; lubricating parts; making minor adjustments, as
necessary
- Operates a variety of hand tools, shovels, hoes, rakes loppers,
litter sticks, and saws
- Prompt and regular attendance is required for this position
- Performs daily safety check-out/in procedures on equipment
- Wear personal protective equipment, as required
- Help other team members accomplish tasks

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES (Inside Work)**
- Handle concessions, manage money/ticketing for SFL
- May work variety of schedules
- Understand weather apps & be able to share safety information w/
Caretaker and campers regarding bad weather, dangerous winds etc.
- Prompt and regular attendance is required for this position
- Other duties as assigned
- Knowledge:** General knowledge of use and maintenance of equipment and
tools used; Methods of lifting heavy articles and loads in a safe manner
- Work Experience:**No experience required. Previous mowing, weed
Eating, Tree Trimming Experience Preferred
- Work Environment:**While performing the duties of this job, the
employee regularly works in outside weather conditions, including
temperature extremes. The employee may regularly be exposed to fumes,
chemicals, dirt, dust and pollen. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate.

- Has ability to perform physical activities that require considerable
use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as sitting,
standing, walking, bending, climbing, twisting, squatting, reaching
overhead, grasping, lifting, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling
and handling of objects.
- Has ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift up
to 50 pounds.
- Has ability to continuously handle and manage objects up to 10
pounds i.e., weed eating for several h ours at a time.
