The purpose of this internship position, while under the direction of IT staff, is to support organization technology needs and develop practical technical skills in the IT field.
- Alongside IT staff, you will assist with daily technical operations and support activities.
- Gain hands-on experience in an enterprise IT environment.
- Throughout your internship you will be exposed to technical support, hardware and software troubleshooting, network operations, cybersecurity practices and IT administration.
- With staff support, respond to questions and requests regarding computer-related problems via telephone, e-mail, and personal contact; logs questions and requests regarding computer-related problems via call tracking software.
- Performs related work as assigned.
Must be a currently enrolled student in a high school or college-level program.
All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
