Base Salary Range: $26.00 to $29.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
Travel: 0-10%
Job Summary
The Budget Analyst position will support the growth and infrastructure of the Operations Department. The primary role of the Budget Analyst is to work with the budgeting team and various corporate departments to put together a complete annual budget for each managed self-storage facility in a timely manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities - Responsible for producing complete annual budgets for each managed facility and for corporate departments as needed.
- Required to communicate with various departments including but not limited to Accounting, Finance, Sales Center, Human Resources, Payroll, IT, Marketing, Property Services, Revenue Management, Legal and Insurance in order to extract information to be used within each budget.
- Use information collected from various departments to build a budget for each facility.
- Forecast facility expense, revenue, and cash flow using historical data and current trends.
- Present final budgets to upper management for approval.
- Prepare reforecasts as required.
- Prepare periodic and special reports as needed.

- Periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company need and requirements
- Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines
Education / Experience
- High School Diploma is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting or equivalent from an accredited college or university highly preferred
- Relevant years of work experience may substitute for the degree requirement
- 1-2 years relevant work experience in budgeting or forecasting highly preferred
- Basic knowledge of accounting terms and concepts
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and Outlook with advanced skills in Excel highly preferred
- Comfortable communicating with/interacting with/and disseminating information to managers, directors and upper management
- Ability to understand and convey Company Policies and relevant industry standards
- Ability to handle all Company matters with confidentiality and in a timely fashion
- Ability to analyze and configure data for reporting purposes
- Ability to effectively communicate while exercising diplomacy, sound judgment and tact
- Ability to deal effectively with co-workers, department supervisors and managers, insurance brokers, insurance company representatives, attorneys, and other consultants and/or vendors
- Ability to work flexible hours depending on various departmental project deadlines and/or Company events and sponsored programs
