Life as our Global People Director at City IT:
As our Global IT People Director, you will consult and partner with the Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Global IT leadership team to design and implement people strategies and programs that strengthen and promote culture within City Electrical Factors and City Electric Supply’s global IT Division (City IT).
You’ll be a proven leader, with a consultative approach, this role will contribute at both a hands-on and strategic level to be a trusted advisor and thought partner offering expertise on people and organizational objectives in line with City’s values.
In this role, you will lead and implement the people strategy to recruit, retain and develop talent and seek to develop an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes development, collaboration, and agility.
In conjunction with the CIO and the global People Team, this role will work to deliver outstanding employee experiences that seek to improve employee lifecycle processes, including People Strategy, Operations, Recruitment, Onboarding, Coaching and Development, Employee Relations and Compensation.
Your Objectives:
- Research, develop, recommend, and implement progressive people programs and processes that inspire a culture of high performance aligned to City’s values.
- Partner with the global IT leadership and People teams to develop future leaders– including the ideation, creation, implementation and ongoing coordination of training, succession planning and development targeted to the needs of this critical stakeholder group.
- Provide strategic advice, counsel and consultative solutions to the Global CIO and the leadership team on people management aspects of their business, including, driving organizational development, team effectiveness, executing change management strategy and employee engagement solutions.
- Provide strategic business partnership, thought partnership and coaching to all levels of the organization
- Actively partners with the global IT business and strategy discussions to understand, consult and be a thought partner on the decision-making process to prepare and support from a strategic people perspective
Key Skills and Experience:
- Passion for creating healthy organizations, with experience driving transformation and helping company culture be a competitive advantage.
- Extensive experience building and implementing People Strategies across People Strategy, Operations, Recruitment, Onboarding, Coaching and Development, Employee Relations and Compensation globally, both from a strategic and hands on approach
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, thrives with light supervision, possesses great attention to detail, works well in a team, loves learning and is willing to get involved across all aspects of our organization.
- Ability to influence and build credibility at all levels and establish collaborative working relationships.
- Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, complex, decentralized and geographically diverse organizational structure.
