The purpose of this position is to operate heavy equipment and machinery to assist in the installation and repair of the City's water, wastewater, and storm drain lines. This is accomplished by preparing machinery and equipment for use, operating heavy utility construction equipment, performing preventative maintenance on equipment, repairing equipment as necessary, ensuring safety of public and assisting crew with manual tasks. Other duties may include directing traffic, ensuring worksite and work crew safety, assisting with street repairs, operating street equipment, maintaining vehicles, documenting work completed, and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. This position does provide direction to other employees.

What We're Looking For
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Two years of experience in operating and servicing heavy duty construction equipment and related equipment.
· Valid Texas Class A CDL with tanker endorsement.
Additional Information
Typical Work Schedule: Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
