STARTING HOURLY RATE: $34.36 - $35.93 (PLACEMENT DEPENDS ON SIMILAR EXPERIENCE HELD AND EDUCATION)
Summary
The Information Technology Services Manager prepares and manages multiple projects and related teams to ensure that projects are being completed on schedule and in accordance with District goals and budget requirements.
Essential Functions
- Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously. Leads regular project reviews with customers, stakeholders and technology staff, and participates in committees related to projects.
- Coordinates and maintains program/project communications that include defined goals, tasks, milestone dates, status and resource allocation. Documents and reviews lessons learned.
- Provides project related training to District staff as needed.
- Develops and maintains project plans that include tasks, milestone dates, status and resource allocation. Defines the strategic implications and determines the requirements to achieve successful implementation. Ensures alignment to district technology plan.
- Identifies and establishes effective internal and external relationships to achieve district and project goals. Influences, motivates and manages multiple cross department teams involved in projects to achieve said goals.
- Provides technical, organizational leadership and direction for Information Technology staff. Manages work orders and delivers metrics.
- Serves as a liaison to District Administration on computer support projects. Upgrades, maintains hardware and software as well as installation. Recommends software and equipment to meet end-user needs. Builds and provide quotes as needed.
- Writes procedures and technical documentation.
- Supports the relationship between the Phoenix Union High School District and the public by demonstrating courteous and professional behavior when interacting with students, parents, visitors, and school staff; maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, client records, and school information; follows Governing Board Policies; performs all other related duties as required or assigned.

Required Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience Guidelines:
High School diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; AND five years of progressively responsible experience implementing and participating in multi-phase IT projects; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
License And Certification Requirements
A valid Arizona State Driver’s License is required.

- Extensive knowledge of computer and network systems, technology project management, technology rules and regulations.
- Skill in planning, prioritizing, and completing multi-phase projects.
- Skill in troubleshooting and repairing network, server, and device connectivity issues.
- Skill in performing basic computer repairs.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot, upgrade and update computer hardware and software.
- Skill in developing and implementing accurate project timelines.
- Skill in understanding, explaining and applying relevant technology solutions, rules, policies and procedures.
- Skill in planning, prioritizing and completing assignments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, in particular using technical and non-technical language to explain complex subjects and processes
- Skill in researching and compiling data for reports and technical documents.
- Ability to enter data with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
- Ability to provide excellent customer experiences, including but not limited to interacting tactfully and courteously with the public.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed at District facilities and school campuses and requires the use of hand tools. May be required to climb ladders and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
