General Summary
The City of Richland's Public Works Engineering Group is looking for a well-qualified Civil Engineer II to join their team! The person in this position will be working on engineering projects covering all aspects of the public works, parks, and economic development.
This position is open until filled with priority consideration given to applicants that apply on or before Monday, November 11, 2024. Applications will be reviewed weekly beginning on November 12.
Target hiring range is $7,625 - $9,150 monthly DOQ.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Performs difficult skilled technical work conducting complex and large-scale engineering studies and projects, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the assigned Director or Manager ("supervisor").

Minimum Qualifications
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Obtain Washington State Professional Engineer's License within six (6) months of hire and maintain it throughout employment..
Valid driver's license.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, and four (4) years experience in civil engineering design, planning, project administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with WSDOT design standards, specifications, and construction procedures.
Experience with Federally funded projects.
Experience with Environmental permitting processes.
Experience with Civil3d as a design tool.
Experience in construction / project management.

Selection will be based on overall qualifications and a panel interview. The final candidate selected will be required to pass a comprehensive background, reference and criminal history check.
