Position Title: Operations Manager

Salary: $75,000-$85,000
Position Summary:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the effective management of organizational assets, facilities, and teams to ensure optimal functionality and safety. The role includes direct supervision of the Security, Printshop, and Maintenance/Custodial teams, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. This position will ensure that the organization’s physical assets are well-maintained, security protocols are adhered to, and facility services are executed in a timely and professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Asset Management: Manage and oversee the lifecycle of Office assets, including procurement, maintenance, and disposal. Ensure compliance with asset management policies and optimize asset utilization and physical security.
- Team Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to the Security, Printshop, and Maintenance/Custodial teams. This includes scheduling, performance evaluation, training, and providing support to ensure the teams meet their objectives.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets for asset management, facility operations, and departmental staffing. Track expenditures and look for cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes, identifying areas for increased efficiency, cost reduction, or service enhancement.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all assets, facilities, and security operations, and regularly report performance metrics to senior management
- Emergency Response Coordination: Plan and execute emergency response strategies for security or facility-related incidents, ensuring that all team members are trained and prepared for emergencies
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably related to the duties enumerated above
Specific Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct staff
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- In-depth understanding of asset management and facilities operations
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response strategies
- Budgeting and financial management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and asset management software (SAP/Oracle)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or business-related experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to carry out the duties of the position. A minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management is required. Previous experience supervising teams in security, facilities, or related functions is a plus.
