Responsible for managing the implementation and subsequent administration of all aspects of the Laredo Public Art Master Plan (i.e., the City's 2% for Art Program which is funded through the city's CIP program). Administration of other arts and culture projects and contracts funded with other sources.

- Manages all essential program processes as detailed in the plan
- Prepares the Annual Report, Annual Plan, Annual Budget, quarterly workplan and Strategic 10-year plan for Public Art
- Collection management, ongoing maintenance and conservation of the City of Laredo's public art collection including maintaining inventory database and online gallery of art collection on the City of Laredo website
- Secures and coordinates community partners, sponsors and funders for other art & culture projects
- Assists the administration of same including cultural art contracts, funded with hotel occupancy taxes and other sources
- Serves as the public face and voice of the Public Art Program for the City of Laredo
- Leads public engagement with citizens, artists, nonprofit visual arts organizations, key arts and culture stakeholders
- Staff liaison to the Fine Arts & Culture Commission
- Responds to requests from media, citizens, and election officials
- Develops graphics and visual presentations to communicate program plans and concepts to citizens, city officials, and others
- Will be required to drive a City vehicle for City business use
- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience- Bachelor's degree from accredited* college or university in Public Art, Fine Arts, Art History and Art Administration, Architecture, Planning, Public Administration or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- At least three (3) years of experience with public art program, nonprofit visual arts organization, administering a governmental program similar in scope, managing a business or company in the arts sector, or other relevant experience with similar duties and functions

Valid Texas Driver License. If applicant holds an out-of-state license, a State of Texas Driver License must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
