The City of Santa Cruz currently has a vacancy for the position Associate Professional Engineer in the Public Works Department, assigned to the Wastewater Storm Water Engineering Group. The position assists in the execution of capital improvement projects at the City’s Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility and on the City’s sanitary sewer and storm water collection systems. Candidates with training and experience in Civil engineering, environmental engineering, electrical engineering, project management, or construction management are encouraged to apply. The eligibility list established from this recruitment may be used to fill other Associate Professional Engineer vacancies that may occur in the Public Works or Water Departments within the next year. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, three years of increasingly responsible professional experience in civil engineering or related field, including one year of supervisory experience, possession of Registration as a Civil Engineer in the State of California, and a valid California driver’s license. Registration under other Professional Engineering license types may be considered on a case by case basis as required by the position.
