Position: Senior Media Assistant - Museum Marketing

Hourly Range: $26.79-$31.01

J Ob Summary
Under the supervision of the Museum’s curator, assists in providing oversight for the graphic design, marketing, and social media efforts at the Lancaster Museum of Art and History and each of its four facilities. This role will be responsible for overseeing a small team of Media Assistants in the development of marketing and brand strategies and other special projects.

Example Of Duties & Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work closely with Arts and Museums’ Curatorial staff to develop and implement the museum’s marketing program for each of its five facilities.
- Lead and schedule a small team of 2 to 3 staff members and their regular roster of exhibition programs.
- Manage multiple marketing and design projects, simultaneously, ensuring all defined deadlines are met.
- Liaise with artists to develop exhibition brochures and other printed materials.
- Train incoming members of the Marketing team.
- Evaluate the museum’s current graphic design, marketing, and social media efforts.
- Increase the Lancaster Museum of Art and History’s visibility through social media.
- Assists with publications and press events for the city
- Develop and maintain the museum’s website

Education and Experience:
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for acceptable job performance
- Currently enrolled in a college or university majoring in Marketing or a related field is desirable.
- At least two years of graphic design, marketing, or a related field is required.
