This high-profile position is responsible for all aspects of budgeting, forecasting and analysis for assigned groups within the Company and will have the opportunity to assist in the management of analysts on the team. The FP&A Manager works directly with the Director and Sr Director of FP&A to develop and execute strategic financial goals, which are then utilized to create the annual budget, subsequent monthly forecasts and long-term models. The FP&A Manager will also work directly with the Accounting group to analyze monthly variances and review actual results. Results versus plan and other analytics are communicated to management through monthly and quarterly slide decks with action plans developed and monitored to take corrective actions where necessary. The position will have direct communication and will partner with Senior Management as well as opportunity for regular interaction with the CFO. This role also requires the ability to multi-task and to develop strong working relationships with individuals across the organization. As Paylocity is a growing organization, the FP&A Manager is also tasked with developing and hiring staff as necessary.

Responsibilities

- 40% - Develop the annual budget and quarterly forecasts, maintain financial projections
- 20% - Analysis of trends and impact on future results, further expand analysis and best practices
- 30% - Analytics and special projects
- 10% - Communication of results and projections
- Management of one Senior analyst?currently on the team
- Independently own and drive other ad hoc analyses and financial modeling as needed to support your departmental leaders and business decisions
- The most important task is to be able to develop sound accurate financial forecasts for the company’s financial results with a high degree of accuracy as well as to correctly identify business drivers and challenges so that the organization can head in the right direction.
- Convey financial concepts and activity to non-financial personnel in an effective manner.
- Task and deadline-oriented and able to meet timelines and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 6-10 years experience in a similar role with extensive analytics/modeling experience
- 3 years FP&A Management Experience preferred
- Experience in a fast paced, high growth public company; ideally in the technology/SaaS sector
- Experience with management of enterprise software
- Ability to project manage cross-functional initiatives and drive deliverables that facilitate executive-level decision making
- Advanced experience with analytics/modeling
- Analytical background and a proven familiarity/understanding of financial statements (e.g. FP&A, Big 4 Transaction Services, corporate finance, investment banking, management consulting preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of MS office, especially Excel and Powerpoint
- NetSuite and Anaplan experience a plus
- Familiarity with developing/maintaining operations headcount labor models
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with others, including non-Finance personnel and executives
- Experience working with C-suite executives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively develop planning calendars and meet deadlines
- Inquisitive by nature and work to investigate and continuously learn about company practices and the competitive environment
- Forward looking and can quickly understand the important business drivers and information to help the Company be successful.?
- Thorough; high degree of accuracy and completeness in calculations of forecasts and analysis.

The pay range for this position is $89,000-$127,200/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
