PAY
Annual Pay Range: $53,767.31 - $67,749.92
Hourly Pay Range: $27.572979 - $34.743549
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.
JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Clackamas County's Social Services Division is currently seeking a Veteran Outreach Case Manager to provide support and outreach to veterans experiencing housing instability and at risk of eviction. This role will focus on veteran outreach, working with community partners to enhance housing stability through collaboration and engagement. As a Veteran Outreach Case Manager, key duties will include eligibility determinations, housing screenings, placements, and retention efforts. All services will be delivered in a culturally responsive manner, with a focus on military culture and the specific needs of veterans in Clackamas County.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of person-centered, Housing First approach to case management and knowledge of veteran needs and advocacy. Candidates with military experience and/or veteran status are strongly encouraged to apply.
Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills to perform the duties of the role
• Direct case management experience, outreach experience, or a comparable function, working with homeless and/or low-income populations
• At least one (1) year using creative problem solving, with successful results, in preventing people at high risk of homelessness from becoming homeless or helping people who have been homeless access and maintain permanent housing
• Experience building relationships and networks with local landlords, program participants, colleagues and community partners
• Experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Experience using virtual programs such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams
• Knowledge of veteran needs and advocacy gained through education, training, work experience, veteran status, or lived experience
• Demonstrated commitment and experience advancing equity and diversity in a workplace or community setting

• Driving is required for County business on a regular basis or to accomplish work. WORK SCHEDULE
This position is included in the County's alternate workweek program, working 37.5 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Thursday (Fridays off):
• Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended.
• This position is eligible for hybrid on-site/telework subject to the https://dochub.clackamas.us/documents/drupal/9065b5fb-2237-47ce-9534-e7c8c40fc2bc and based on the Department's business needs. The exact amount of on-site/telework and schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager during time of offer. Telework locations cannot be located outside of Oregon or Washington. Washington residents must perform 50% of their time on-site at Clackamas County.
