The City of Saline is seeking a full-time Working Foreperson, Parks/Forestry/Cemetery position for the Department of Public Works. The position supervises and directs subordinates and participates in the operation and maintenance requirements of Parks/Forestry/Cemetery functions of the Department of Public Works, and other operational areas as needed. Position provides leadership for work crews and is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and assigning all work required of the Parks/Forestry/Cemetery division. Remains on call, and answers emergency calls and complaints. Maintains the parks, cemetery, street & park trees, city buildings, and properties, and related equipment. Maintains accurate records of employee time, equipment, and materials utilized by the Division. Orders supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the required tasks.
