Under supervision of the Marketing and Communications Director and guidance of the Marketing Manager. Responsible for overall event marketing (print/digital/TV) and digital content across multiple social media accounts, platforms, and sites. Works with teams across multiple departments, community members and business owners.
- Responsible for social medial content creation (photo/video/copy) and management across multiple platforms in collaboration with the marketing manager (Downtown Ennis Tx, Downtown Ennis Bluebonnet Market, Visit Ennis -Texas, Ennis Railroad and Cultural Heritage Museum, Bluebonnet Trails and Festival) under the guidance of the Marketing Manager
- Processes invoices and maintains billing spreadsheet
- Manages website content and Ennis Y’all Mobile App.
- Documents post event sponsor recaps.
- Creates social media strategy across multiple accounts and platforms.
- Works with the Marketing Manager to develop and schedule content across multiple social media platforms and websites.
- Stays up to date on social media trends/industry best practices to continuously improve overall social media marketing efforts.
- Responds to inbound social media traffic.
- Creates content for digital newsletters
- Processes invoices and maintains billing spreadsheet
- Ability to arrive to work on time and must maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance.
- Acts as media spokesperson in Director’s absence.
- Available to work outside regular schedule as needed (weekend/evening-overtime)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Photography and videography skills using City provided iPhone to creatively capture content
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Suite or like products.
- Ability to operate a DSLR camera and other audio-visual equipment
- Understanding of basic municipal billing processes
- Expert management skills with ability to identify goals, prioritize tasks, and execute on quick timelines.
- Experience of marketing-related business practices, including advertising, market research, technology and budgeting with social media and digital administration tools.
- Time management and organization skills for planning and executing both large and small marketing projects and initiatives.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Express or like products.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Creative and professional writing.
- Effective communication skills and adaptable communication style for interacting with team members, upper management, and clients.
- Friendly, approachable demeanor; ability to reflect Ennis’ brand as a forward-facing ambassador.
- Team player who is proactive, flexible, and results oriented.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish Preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Hospitality Communication, or related field or prior work experience in a related position preferred, OR
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
